Gemma & Tom got married in the winter of 2019 at St Michael & All Angels Church which is a beautiful village church in Hilperton, Trowbridge. I have worked with Tom on many occasions providing unique photography for his web design business Tom Beaven Websites so it was a pleasure to be asked to photograph their wedding day. GETTING READY
Gemma got ready at her mum and dads house with all of her bridesmaids and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The kids were super excited and even gave me a little tour of the house and helped me photograph all the little details. Gemma then rode the short distance to the church. Lots of people had gathered at the church to see Gemma arrive and they weren’t left disappointed when she did, she looked amazing!
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place at St Michael & All Angels Church and was a traditional religious ceremony. The Florist had done an amazing job of creating a grand entrance of flowers. The family have been attending the church for years and it has a special little place in their hearts. It was such a personal service. After the ceremony, they were showered with confetti, and we took some photographs at the church. It was a cold day so I didn’t want to keep them both outside for too long. Gemma wasn’t fazed and they were both happy to endure the temperature until we had some lovely creative photos of them both before heading off to the reception.
THE RECEPTION
The wedding reception took place at The Farmhouse Inn in Southwick. It was so cosy, there were even Christmas decorations and a lovely tree for good measure. The sweet trolley was popular with the kids… and adults! One of my favourite moments was during the speeches when Gemma’s sister suddenly donned a baseball cap, shades and a leather jacket and began to rap about Gemma and Tom. Naturally, everyone was in stitches, I thought it was a lovely little touch.
After the meal was finished, they had their first dance which was gatecrashed by the kids but made for some great photos, and the evening kicked off. The live band kept everyone entertained all evening and the wine-induced dancing went long into the night!
THE COUPLE
Gemma wore a stunning dress from The Bridal Lounge. Tom wore a blue suit with a flowered buttonhole and looked very dapper! Gemma and Tom’s wedding was so much fun and had such a chilled vibe. Here’s their awesome wedding!
